Despite Groal’s floatiness, I used this drill to kill him quickly…and it worked out.
Unfortunately him getting “stunned” = you’re guaranteed to be hit as well, but that was the least of my worries.
Fun fact about this tool: it is the randomiser pain final boss. In combination with either concutter or memory locket, you can get an extra jump if you position right due to the drill giving you upwards momentum when it hits a pogoable object. Team Cherry (for some unknowable reason) decided that both the memory locket and conchcutter projectiles should qualify for pogoable objects for the drill. This is used to get to certain places (memorium, sharodart room etc) with no clawline, beast crest, sharpdart or double jump
This thing is pretty fun to use in my opinion
Ive been doing a beast crets playthrough, and honestly this thing is a godsend. Not because it replaces the Pogo, no, but because with the clawline it _complements_ it. I mean, sure, it’s useful for exploration, but in combat its insane. The main downside of the pogo is its startup were can get you hit when an airborne enemy is too close (covered by the clawline), and how you have to reposition in midair when you wanna chain pogo cause of how it sends you forward (covered by the drill). So now, when you have the pogo angle that you can adjust freely you can baisically always be on the offensive with how much range you cover, especially considering how most enemies aren’t designed around the pogo allowing you to almost always hit them reltively safely where you would then be perfectly positioned to give them a pocket lobotomy.
This on beast crest alongside plasmium phial really makes it shine – alternative healing and pogo attacks make it unbelievably versatile.
I actually like the beast pogo, people saying it’s awful have clearly never used it to bounce off things above them – the drill doesn’t replace it, it ENHANCES IT

You can pogo off volt vessels with it, allowing for goofy skips
As said, it’s a good pogo for crest with weird pogo. So you can get best of two worlds… with training.
