Kayna is kinda like an Entbrat situation where it peaked on its first island and never really hit that hard again. Although unlike Entbrat, Kayna still managed to stay consistently decent through each island she was on, and since she’s such an important monster I’m glad they did that.
I actually don’t get what all the hype about Kayna is all about. I’m a little more attached to the monsters that sound more like or play instruments, so maybe it’s just a personal nitpick on my end and the MSM community just really appreciates vocalists but I wouldn’t know. Funny how that translates perfectly to my own taste in music, I almost never listen to music that have vocals. Pretty confident that it’s just me now.
Part 2 and it has all the GOOD kayna appearances, i see your game here Faerie Sound: 7/10 its how many see oasis’ sound, i just think its much better suited here. Bone Sound: 8/10 hell yes this ones great, fantastic for the buildup that bone island doesnt have, but ill have my own videos to clown on bone island. Tribal Sound: 9/10 best kayna by far, it sounds so grand and powerful, perfect for the biggest change in the entire franchise. Amber Sound: 7/10, great supporting vocal, probably the best rank an amber monster is gonna get besides tring.
Oh, poor Bone. Out of the four original magicals, it was my favorite, but as time went on, it didn’t get much better, while the other three, especially Light, surpassed it. Now, we wait for the Soul to redeem it…
Anyway, I like Bone Kayna a lot, she is really good for the somber-yet-exhuberant vibes, though it doesn’t reach the peaks of Amber or Tribal. For me, the rest of her participations are either important, but not much, or, in the case of Light, unsuferable.
And I still stand by the opinion that Light is better as a pure instrumental, and Kayna is the biggest offender. She single-handedly breaks the song in a way that not even Gobbleygourd can (they’re at least humorous, even if the joke gets old fast).
