I have grown accustomed to the gel res x. sure they’re heavy, but I’m not noticeably slower and I can still slide without feeling like I’m on ice. sized down and couldn’t be happier
Interesting that the one major complaint you have for shoe companies is the one thing the Gel Res X actually has, which is the extra protection for the laces on the inside of the foot

Asics Court FF3 has been the go to shoe for me. Echo your views on Resolution X.

You should try Asics Solution Speed FF 4 and Court FF 3
Diadora Torneo 3 is a great replacement to the Asics Gel Res 9. Not as stable, but still stable enough to slide. Comfortable, not clunky, durable
Hey Becket, try Head with BOA system. It’s like hidden laces with super easy tightening and loosening

I’ve always been curious about the CT Rally
new yonex sonicage and eclipsion, heard lots of good stuff from the doc.
love K-swiss si-18, long lasting and good looking, vintage style full of comfort
Lol, the Uber sonic has been awesome for me .
Try the Barricade… laces are offset to the outer side
Have had a lot of luck w K-Swiss last three years. Really durable too.
Also you’re sliding so much you’re breaking laces? Wild!
Hope you tried the onclouds. The original Roger pro works best for me, but Iga’s new ‘fire’ model is made for aggressive players & meant for sliding.
You should try the wave exceed tour 6, it honestly is the best tennis shoe I’ve played in
I’m just impressed you can slide on hard courts. Better 4.5 than I am
